Collection Dogs
Guide Dogs WA’s iconic Collection Dog containers sit in prominent positions in local cafes, shops and restaurants.
The little dogs raise much-needed funds for Guide Dogs WA’s training programs —making a huge difference to the lives of Western Australians who are living with low vision, disability or illness.
Have you got space to host a Collection Dog in your business?
Every few months a volunteer will collect the Collection Dog from your business and count the contents. Twice a year, you will receive a special ‘Thank you’ certificate with the amount you and your customers have raised.
We also offer a self-banking option if we do not have a volunteer in your local area. This can be useful for retail businesses that regularly need change, as they can use the coins from the Collection Dog and forward the donations to us through a direct deposit.
We won’t, under any circumstances, hold your business liable for any Collection Dogs in the unfortunate event of theft. We do encourage businesses to secure the Collection Dogs to the counter, which we can provide.
Mini Dogs
This small-footprint, 35cm tall lightweight plastic pup is designed to take up minimum space, and sit on a countertop near the till, to collect any spare change.
Tap to Donate Dog
Worried about the coins? Try a digital Mini Dog. The same counter-friendly size, these Tap n Go Dogs allow supporters to make a $3 donation with a single tap of a credit or payWave card. Each dog is fitted with a SIM card – all that is needed is a power outlet.
Model Dog
An 83cm tall Model Dog is designed to be floor standing. Ideal for higher traffic areas, such as supermarkets or shopping centres, these iconic dogs have been a well-loved and fondly-remembered feature for many years.
Our volunteer collectors will always present their official Guide Dogs WA ID badge before removing the dog and its contents.
To request a Mini, Tap to Donate or Model Dog, please call (08) 9311 8277 or email collection.dogs@guidedogswa.com.au
